At Hues Like You, our private tutoring sessions are designed to give students the individualized attention they need to excel. Whether you are working on a college application essay, a scholarship submission, a graduate school paper, or simply want to strengthen your writing skills, we tailor each session to meet your specific goals. Every student learns differently, and we believe the best results come from a personalized approach. In our sessions, we start by identifying your strengths and areas for growth, then create a plan that addresses your unique needs. From brainstorming and outlining to editing and polishing, we guide you through the writing process step by step. Our tutoring covers a wide range of needs, including: College and scholarship essay development Graduate-level writing and research support Academic writing skills, from thesis building to citation formatting Editing for clarity, flow, and structure Strategies for overcoming writer’s block and building confidence Sessions are interactive and student-centered, with a focus on helping you not just improve a single piece of writing but grow as a writer overall. We provide clear, actionable feedback you can apply immediately, along with tips and tools to support your long-term success. Whether you need short-term help for a specific project or ongoing support throughout the semester, private tutoring with Hues Like You ensures that you have an expert in your corner—helping you express your ideas with clarity, precision, and your authentic voice.
Cancellation Policy
Booking Policy All sessions must be booked at least 48 hours in advance. Full payment is required to confirm your booking. Packages must be scheduled and completed within 90 days of purchase unless otherwise agreed in writing. For seasonal services (such as College Application Support in the fall), availability is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy Sessions may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice at no charge. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be considered a missed session and are non-refundable. Missed sessions without notice will be forfeited and cannot be rescheduled. Emergency cancellations will be handled on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of Hues Like You. Waitlist Policy If all sessions are booked, clients may join the waitlist at no cost. Waitlist openings are offered in the order they are received. Clients will be contacted via email or text when an opening becomes available. A response is required within 12 hours to secure the spot before it is offered to the next person on the list.
